Office Shed was founded in 2013 on Sydney’s Northern Beaches with offices first in Avalon, and then Dee Why. In January of 2019, Jay and Duncan (the owners), moved their family and head office to the Sunshine Coast. All but one of our team are based on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in our Mooloolaba office, with Tash our superstar Client Service Manager based in Perth. As an outsourced administrative support service provider for tradies, utilising the best cloud-based software, Office Shed continue to successfully support tradies all over Australia. We have clients in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Tasmania and in regional Australia. Our team are all highly qualified, employed full time and based in our Australia. They are skilled using major job management software and accounting software packages. We have developed best in market systems and processes to manage our client services, using the best technologies available to manage workflows. We make absolutely sure everything is properly documented and that all the required activities are assigned and completed each and every day. As an Office Shed client you will have a dedicated account manager who will become part of your team, if for whatever reason they are not available, we will always have another team member ready to step in. Meet The Team
Jay is the heart and soul of Office Shed. She lives and breathes helping Office Shed clients and is always happy to share her knowledge. Not only with clients, but also any tradie out there who needs a bit of advice. Jay leads the client services team, is our head bookkeeper and of course Managing Director. She amazes us all in finding the time to help so many people including the team here. Jay has an accounting and small business consulting background, working in senior finance management roles for ASX listed entities, media agencies and more. Jay spent 3 years working in a small business consultancy and is a registered BAS Agent. With her great mix of skills, experience and knowledge Jay delivers top line value to Office Shed clients. Having led Office Shed for over 4 years now, Jay has worked with tradies and contractors of all shapes and sizes from electricians, plumbers, pest controllers, roofers, tilers, builders and more. She has developed a great knowledge base and understanding of how tradies operate and is skilled across multiple job management software platforms including Tradify, ServcieM8, AroFlo, Ascora, simPRO, Fergus, WorkflowMax, GeoOp etc. Jay is a Xero bookkeeping expert specialising in trades and services and thus delivers huge value to our bookkeeping clients. When not working Jay loves spending time with her 2 young boys and husband. Jay loves to travel, spend time with family and friends, and enjoys the occasional robust red!
Tash is Office Sheds longest serving team member. Tash originally joined us in our Northern Beaches office in Sydney before deciding to head back home to Perth. Tash was such an asset to the team and her clients loved her so much, we couldn’t let her leave. Tash now heads up our Perth operation. Having Tash in Perth means we can service all time zones across Australia for our extremely popular call answering service. Tash has great admin and customer Service experience having worked extensively in accounting firms in Perth prior to her Sydney Move. Tash is a certified user of Xero, is currently completing her Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping and has great experience using Tradify. At Office Shed Tash looks after key clients in plumbing, fencing, electrical, roofing and maintenance. Tash manages clients in Sydney, Tasmania and Perth but will soon focus solely on growing our Perth operations. Tash is very highly valued buy her clients, literally becoming a key part of their operations. When not wowing clients Tash is likely either catching up with friends and family, or catching up on Netflix with a nice glass of red!
Duncan’s role at Office Shed is to do all the other stuff that our client services team are far too busy with client work to get to. He is responsible for sales & marketing, so you will likely speak with him in the first instance when chatting with Office Shed. Duncan also spends much time on planning, making sure we have the best systems & then implementation of those systems. Duncan also does all our recruitment, supplier & facilities management, helps with training & mentoring staff & most importantly is the janitor. Duncan’s background is sales & marketing management, he has worked in leading management consultancies & training organisations - where he managed a global negotiation training business, worked with some the globes leading negotiation consultants & received consultant training. Duncan has also worked in executive recruitment & customer experience roles with clients ranging from multinationals to small businesses. All this giving him a great skill set & knowledge base to ensure Office Shed have the best staff, systems, culture and mindset to deliver exceptional services to our clients. Duncan is very happy to share his business experience with our clients & doesn’t even charge for it! Duncan is married to the boss & never ever talks back! When not working Duncan likes to keep fit, loves music, tries to keep up with his 2 boys (who are absolute weapons) & loves to travel as much as possible. We also have 3 cats.
James is a qualified accountant who we are very lucky to have managing our bookkeeping & BAS services clients’ needs. James has great experience working in leading accounting practices on the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane where he performed a range of accounting duties from tax accounting, preparing financial statements, trusts, superannuation, BAS preparation and of course bookkeeping! Here, our lucky bookkeeping clients get a highly qualified accountant to ensure their books, payroll and BAS reports are completed to the very highest standards possible. James is skilled on all major accounting software packages including Xero, MYOB & QuickBooks. James bring years of experience working with trades and services and adds tremendous value to his clients bookkeeping needs. James is a great bloke to work with, with his easy going and direct nature. He is a mad Hawkies and AFL fan, so we only let him talk sport to our Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth or any of our Southern and Western friends around Australia! When not working James is an avid gamer and really loves food!
Reily is our resident Canadian and he is just so polite with wonderful manners. But he is also highly professional and capable when it comes to admin and customer service, holding a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Reily joined us from the insurance industry but quickly adapted to the trades and is always cool, calm and collected when working with clients and customers alike. Reily has experience working with Pest Control, Plumbing, Electricians and Coatings specialists. He is skilled using Tradify, ServcieM8 & Fergus. When not working Reily enjoys spending time with his young family which includes a beautiful baby boy. Reily really really really enjoys plain vanilla ice cream, American football and we assume ice hockey, he’s Canadian right? He is also loves golf currently on an 11 handicap (he tells us he was on 3 back in the day!). Reily is an invaluable member of our admin team and an asset to all his clients delivering top notch service.
Maddison is a highly skilled customer service and administration professional. She brings a wealth of experience in managing teams and delivering high levels of customer service with leading national brands. Her vibrant personality and dedication to helping her clients sees her deliver truly exceptional level of admin services to clients and their customer alike. Maddison is experienced working with roofers, maintenance/handyman services and electricians. She is also a skilled user of ServiceM8, Tradify and Xero with clients across Australia in Brisbane, Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Geelong in Victoria & the Gold Coast. As a Sunshine Coast local she loves getting out to the beach, going camping and spending time with her family. Maddie is highly valued member of the Office Shed admin services team.
Tamzin is an absolute client services champion, delivering customer service levels that are second to none. She always goes the extra mile with high attention to detail making her a prized asset to her admin clients here at Office Shed. Tamzin joined us from Bunnings where she had a very successful career looking after their trades desk and honing her exceptional customer service skills. Tamzin has experience working with electricians, plumbers and vehicle maintenance companies. Her clients range from Adelaide, Melbourne, Regional Victoria, Sydney’s Northern Beaches and beautiful Sawtell near Coffs Harbour on the Mid Coast of New South Wales. Tamzin is an experienced user of simPRO, Tradify & ServiceM8. When not working Tamzin likes to hang out with her rescue puppy, hang out at the beach and have a laugh at comedy nights. If you are lucky enough to work with Tamzin (as we are here at Office Shed) all your admin troubles will disappear!!
Brittany is one of our top guns here at Office Shed, delivering high levels of service and accuracy to her clients. Prior to joining Office Shed Brittany worked in hospitality refining her customer service skills, then after that in receptionist and admin focused roles. Brittany has experience working with electricians, plumbers, cleaning businesses and a range of other specialist trades. Her clients span Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Melbourne and Sydney. Britt is an expert user of ServcieM8 and Tradify, but also has experience on AroFlo, simPRO, Fergus, Ascora and Geo-op. When not working Britt likes to hang out with her kitten Rocket and watch Netflix with her partner. We are very lucky to have Britt here at Office Shed!
Jade is a highly experienced customer service and administration professional. Prior to joining Office Shed Jade worked in admin and customer service focused roles with major national brands, government agencies and even spent some time as a chef. This mix of skills and experience was the perfect recipe for Office Shed! Jade has experience working with manufacturers, installers, maintenance tradies and cleaning businesses. His clients span Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, Melbourne and Adelaide. He is experienced using tradie focused software apps such as ServiceM8, Tradify, Xero and MYOB. When not working Jade likes to roll around the floor with other likeminded Jujitsu types and doesn’t mind a bit of gardening. Jade is a great asset to the Office Shed team.
We are very lucky to have someone as experienced as Nick at Office Shed. Nick is a highly skilled administrative professional having held business analyst roles within major telecommunication organisations and offers tremendous value and advice to his clients. He is a business systems and processes freak and just loves a good spreadsheet! Nick is an expert user of ServiceM8 and well versed in Tradify, Asana and GeoOP. He has clients in Melbourne, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Canberra, and is experienced working with roofing, fencing, decking, air conditioning and security-based trades. Nick is one of our few non-Queensland based team members and our only current Melbourne based Shed Head! When not working Nick likes to geek out on computers, playing games and making music. Kristen is a highly experienced bookkeeper and admin professional. She has held accounting-based roles within manufacturing, government agencies and in finance organisations. Kristen not only brings with her great bookkeeping skills and experience, but is also a fantastic communicator allowing her to manage client relationships expertly. Meaning she is easily able to explain what information she needs to get the job done, saving her clients time and money. Kristen is an expert user of Xero and MYOB as is versed on tradie job management software apps. Kristen hails originally for the land of long white cloud, so we keep rugby talk to a minimum! Outside of work Kristen is a devoted mother and love to spend time with her family and friends. Kristen is a highly valued member of our team and delivers an exceptional standard of work to her clients.
Casey is our Office Shed pocket rocket! She may be small in size, but she is huge on service delivery! Prior to joining the team here Casey worked in administrative roles in aged care and then as a Finance Broker. Her experience working with tradies spans plumbing and gas, electrical and maintenance tradies all across Australia in places like Darwin, Brisbane, Orange in New South Wales and Sydney. She is experienced using ServcieM8, Tradify, AroFlo , simPRO and Xero. When not working Casey loves to go to the beach and if the weather is no good, watch netflix. Casey is highly customer focused and an asset to Office Shed and all the clients she works with!
India is an experienced admin and customer service professional having worked in medical receptionist roles prior to joining our team. She has a fantastic bright and bubbly phone manner with high attention to detail, making her the perfect fit for Office Shed. India works with Plumbers, Electricians, Roofers, Tilers and Air Conditioning Contractors. Her clients span Sydney, Brisbane, Regional Victoria, and she is an experienced user of AroFlo, Tradify and ServiceM8. When not working India can be found out in the bush camping and 4Wdriving with her partner on weekends, and in the gym or doing yoga on weeknights. India is a valued member of our team and an asset to all the clients she works with.
Paige’s bright and enthusiastic attitude make her one Office Shed’s favourite team members. Prior to joining Office Shed Paige held leadership roles within the retail and childcare sectors. Paige is now an experienced admin support professional for tradies having worked with pest controllers, electricians, plumbers, roofers and pool companies. Her clients are located in the Sunshine Coast, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne. Paige is an experienced user of ServiceM8, AroFlo, Tradify and Xero. When not working Paige is a social butterfly and can be found out and about with friends. She is also an avid wildlife enthusiast and can often be found canal side befriending swans and sting rays or any other critters nearby. Jai is a skilled customer service and admin professional having worked within government departments in customer service roles and having good experience in Hospitality roles. He is also very strong with technology having worked in IT support roles and is highly analytical, he just loves putting together a nice excel spreadsheet! Jai has experience working with maintenance tradies, plumbers and electricians across Brisbane, Sunshine Coast & Sydney. He is an experienced user of Tradify, ServiceM8, GeoOp and Xero. When not working Jai spends most of his time on his computer doing nerdy stuff like coding and gaming, though he considers himself more of geek than a nerd! Jai is highly committed and loves helping his tradie clients grow!
